Web Page Comparison Tool
This free web page comparison tool loads two live pages and compares them side by side. Enter two URLs, like your page and a competitor's, or the old and new version of the same page, and see how their titles, meta descriptions, headings, word counts, links, images, and schema stack up. Spot the topics one page covers that the other misses, see exactly which paragraphs changed, and find where each page is stronger. No signup required.

What Does This Tool Compare?
It loads both pages the way a search engine's first crawl would, reading the HTML the server sends, and compares:
- SEO tags: title, meta description, canonical URL, robots directives, language, Open Graph image, X card, and hreflang tags.
- Structure: word count, H1, and the full heading outline of each page.
- Links and media: internal and external links, nofollow links, images, and images missing alt text.
- Schema: every structured data type found in JSON-LD and microdata.
- Content: how similar the two pages' vocabulary is, the words and phrases each page uses that the other doesn't, and a paragraph-by-paragraph list of what's different.
If you only need to compare two web addresses themselves, use our URL Compare Tool. To compare two pieces of text you paste in, try the Text Diff tool or the Content Similarity Checker.
Why Couldn't It Load One of My Pages?
A few common reasons:
- The site blocks automated visitors with a firewall or bot protection, so it returns an error or a challenge page instead of the content.
- The page requires a login, or it's on a staging site only you can reach.
- The page builds its content with JavaScript after it loads. The tool reads the HTML the server sends, so content added later won't show up. That's also a good hint that some search engines may struggle with it.
- The page is over 3 MB, takes longer than 12 seconds, or redirects more than five times.
For safety, the tool also won't load private network addresses, and it limits how many pages one person can load in a few minutes.
How Do I Use It to Outrank a Competitor's Page?
Put your page in slot A and the page that outranks you in slot B, then work down the results. Start with the content gaps: the words and phrases the competitor uses that you don't usually point to subtopics, questions, or details that searchers expect. Then compare the heading outlines to see how the other page is organized and which sections you're missing entirely.
The SEO table fills in the rest. A much longer or shorter page, a missing schema type, thin internal linking, or a title that doesn't match the query are all worth fixing. Just don't copy. The goal is to cover the topic at least as well and then add something the other page doesn't have: original examples, data, experience, or a clearer explanation. Our Topical Relevance Scorer is a good next step once you've filled the gaps.
It works just as well for before-and-after checks. Compare a staging page with the live one, or the current page with an archived copy, to see exactly what changed in the content, headings, and tags before you publish.
